The Surrey Garden Design Group has organised a wide variety of talks and events over the past few years. Here are some of the highlights.

- Robin Templar Williams on the subject of costings
- Cleve West, who spoke about the ups and downs of keeping an allotment
- Marina Christopher on late summer perennials
- Jinny Blom talking on the French influence in the garden
- Moira Farnham, who ran a workshop on the use of visuals in design plans
- Diarmuid Gavin, who gave a highly entertaining account of his career as a designer
